West Florida History Center & University Archives

Categorizing, organizing, retaining, and processing the University of West Florida's Faculty Senate, its subcommittees, and administrative documents for a Graduate assistantship. 

Starting with 87 boxes, I separated the boxes into groups based by standing committees and chronologically. I went through each box and file systematically removing any duplicates, unnecessary correspondences, and irrelevant paperwork. For the Faculty Senate files, I went through each monthly file determining what was to be retained and necessary to show what was discussed at each meeting. Through organization and collection editing I was able to reduce the 86 boxes to 24 boxes. I drafted a final inventory for each box and file for accession into the archive.  

I worked with microfilm, overhead scanners, archive management, collection processing, and online catalogs.
